JOB SUMMARY

Coordinates Security Department staff ensuring a safe and secure environment on all SwedishAmerican Health System properties.  Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as Health System Incentives.

 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES


Provides support to department staff, in the delivery of security services and the provision of a safe and secure environment at all UW Health owned properties.

 

Monitors staff resource utilization, including preparing and reviewing daily staff schedules, addressing short term fluctuations and assigning daily work.

 

Assists in staff development, training and education and assures competency and compliance with department and hospital rules and human resources policies.

 

Functions as a coach and role model for staff and monitors performance, recommending corrective action and participating in discipline as needed. Assists Manager in completing performance evaluations.

 

Coordinates security equipment repairs and oversees supplies and equipment inventory within established budgetary parameters.

 

Conducts follow-up investigations of incidents that requires further review and reviews all safety and security reports submitted.

 


As needed, additional responsibilities reasonably within the scope of duties and physical requirements may be assigned.  ALL DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS MUST BE PERFORMED CONSISTENT WITH THE UW HEALTH PERFORMANCE STANDARDS AND RESPECT FOR PEOPLE COMMITTMENTS.
