Ensures patient trays are accurate and served in an eye appealing, efficient manner. Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment. Follows departmental sanitation and infection control policies when operating dishwasher and pots and pans machines. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as Health System Initiatives. | | | | | | | | |
• | Accurately identifies items on patient menu for designated station and serves foods in an eye appealing manner utilizing correct position sizes. | • | Sets up designated serving area per established steam table/station diagram efficiently to ensure station is ready on time. Utilizes correct portion control serving utensils per station diagram. Ensures enough dishes are available prior to the beginning of the meal period. | • | Consistently completes all position required documentation, including food temperature pre-service checklist, dishware temperature log, pots & pans temperature log and cart delivery log. Completes temperature strip documentation in dish room and pots and pans areas as required. | • | Follows all sanitation and safety policies when washing dishes and pots and pans to ensure compliance with health department regulations. Distributes clean trays, silverware and dishes to cafeteria and trayline areas. Utilized appropriate PPE to ensure compliance with Infection Control and safety policies when ware washing. | • | Consistently completes position specific daily/weekly/monthly cleaning checklists following all designated procedures. Empties garbage as assigned and disposes of broken glass appropriately. Stocks station as needed for next shift. | • | Demonstrates a commitment to improving patient satisfaction with meal service by reporting food quality and temperature issues immediately to a member of the department leadership team for resolution. Participates in test tray and food quality sampling as a part of overall Quality Assurance Plan. | • | Performs all aspects of job in an environment that optimizes patient, customer and environmental safety and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and compliance efforts. Maintains confidentiality of position required information. Completes other duties as assigned. |
