Under the direction of the RN Circulator and physician, performs scrub duties. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental and divisional nursing philosophy and objectives, as well as, Health System initiatives. | | | | | | | | |
• | Performs all duties listed under essential functions of Surgical Assistant I position. | • | Under the direction of the RN Circulator and physician, scrubs for operative procedures. Holds retractors and patient extremities retract tissue and exposes operating field during procedures, following established protocols. | • | Performs all aspects of care in an environment that optimizes patient and environmental safety and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations efforts. |
