Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of Agency philosophy and objectives, as well as, Health System initiatives. | | | | | | | | |
• | Under the direction of a RN, provides patient care, utilizing proper technique, assisting patients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living in accordance with Agency policies. Incorporates age-specific, cultural and spiritual needs of the patient and significant other (s.) Applies binders, elastic bandages and stockings and performs non-sterile dressing changes. | • | Provides the RN with accurate and timely information regarding patient needs and status, maintaining confidentiality at all times. | • | Clearly and accurately documents and records observed patient information and care provided. | • | Implements and assists with physical therapy functions including, lifting, transferring, turning and positioning of patients utilizing proper body mechanics. | • | Performs all aspects of care in an environment that optimizes patient and environmental safety and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and compliance efforts. | • | Assists in administering medications that are ordinarily self-administered. |
