Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as Health System initiatives. | | | | | | | | |
• | Processes patient’s diet information utilizing health system telephone and computerized communications systems efficiently and effectively ensuring accurate patient/client care following department policy. Generates a variety of daily clinical and financial reports in accordance with established guidelines. | • | Maintains departmental patient billing kardexes ensuring accurate meal assembly, nutrition and accounting information. | • | Distributes, assists and collects menus and satisfaction survey from patients in accordance with department policies. | • | Prepares and distributes nourishments, snacks, tube feeding products and pediatric formulas following department protocols. Managers patient care unit floor stock program. | • | Communicates pertinent patient food intake information to clinical dietician. Tallies food count of appropriate items before each meal. | • | Monitors patient tray assembly, distribution, retrieval and ware washing activities in accordance with department policy ensuring completion of pre-service tray line checklist and temperature logs. Functions in a bad capacity absence of supervision. | • | Performs all aspects of job in an environment that optimizes patient, customer and environmental safety and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and compliance efforts. Notifies appropriate resource of issues requiring intervention beyond capabilities. |
