Positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately. Implements MRI safety standards. Prepares for and assists the physician and anesthesia staff in procedures, including interventional procedures. Prepares and administers contrast media within the scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations. | | | | | | | | |
• | Uses AIDET for every patient; every time. (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, and Thank You). | • | Positions patient and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest while respecting patient ability and comfort. Applies principles of MRI safety. | • | Selects appropriate protocol to perform procedures successfully. Administers contrast material according to protocols. | • | Evaluates images for technical quality and assures proper identification. Manipulates studies for accurate archiving. | • | Monitors the supplies. Maintains a neat and clean environment and performs equipment quality control checks. Reports any equipment malfunctions in an accurate and timely way. | • | Provides clinical instruction and evaluation for students or other health care professionals as required. | • | Uses the computer system in compliance with HIPAA regulations. | • | Performs all aspects of care in an environment that optimizes patient and environmental safety and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and compliance efforts. |
