Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as, Health System initiatives. This position is subject to on-call hours and responsibility at the discretion of department need. | | | | | | | | |
• | Greets patients, obtains information and assesses need for testing, explains procedures and provides educational information incorporating age-specific, cultural and spiritual needs of the patient and significant other into care. | • | Performs diagnostic testing including EEG’s, Evoke Potential Exams, seizure and video monitoring following established departmental procedures. Observes patient during testing and provides input to physician. | • | Scores exams and collects information in preparation for Neurologist’s review and interpretation and documents accurately in the patient’s record maintaining confidentiality of position acquired information. | • | Calibrates testing equipment making necessary adjustments following established procedures and ensuring proper operation and compliance with regulatory and state standards. | • | Orders, cleans and maintains equipment and supplies ensuring smooth operations within established budgetary guidelines. Removes broken equipment and reports to appropriate resource. | • | Performs a variety of clerical duties to support unit including answering phone, maintaining files and coordinating scheduling of patients working collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team. | • | Performs all aspects of care in an environment that optimizes patient and environmental safety and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and compliance efforts. |
