While the range of duties and responsibilities is broad and varied, the position's major responsibilities are managing all day-to-day operations including the delivery of care, human resource management, capital and operational budgeting, equipment oversight, financial management, and performance improvement activities. The Manager is a positive, effective member of the Medical Imaging management team, fostering a patient focused perspective and ensuring a strong commitment to organizational service standards. The individual maintains collaborative multi-disciplinary relationships within and outside of the organization. The Medical Imaging Manager collaborates and consults with other SAHS and Imaging leaders to ensure the effective integration of strategic objective, performance management, quality and safety improvements meet regulatory and organizational compliance. | | | | | | | | |
• | Provides support and supervision to staff, in the delivery of department services and carrying out strategic vision. In collaboration with Director, establishes short and long-range objectives for the Department that integrate the Health System’s values and service excellence philosophy and assures regulatory compliance and accreditation. | • | Performs payroll changes and adjustments for the supervisory staff within the department. Works with each to determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards. Appraises their performance relative to the Medical Imaging mission and goals and discusses with employees. | • | Participates in personnel functions, including hiring, termination, orientation, and competency assessment. Assists in staff development, training and education of associates. | • | Assures compliance with department and System policies and procedures. | • | Participates in and/or leads various Medical Imaging accreditation activities, including the QC program, Safety Management, Survey Readiness, and Proficiency Test Program monitoring. | • | Working with Supervisory staff, develops, introduces and evaluates new procedures and equipment. Ensures that the department complies with all regulatory agencies. Monitors operation expenses and analyzes variances. | • | Establishes performance and analytical standards for the department. Stays informed of developments, trends and technology. |
