Supervises employees assigned to areas. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives, as well as Health System initiatives. | | | | | | | | |
• | Provides daily support and supervision to staff, in the delivery of services and carrying out strategic vision. Tours area periodically communicating issue, coordinating activities with other departments, facilitating smooth operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety and hospital standards. | • | Monitors staff resource utilization, including preparing and reviewing daily schedules, addressing short term fluctuations and assigning daily work and incorporating special assignments as necessary. | • | Participates in staff selection, orientation, education and performance evaluation process ensuring competence and compliance with department and hospital rules and regulations and human resource policies. Maintains an environment that promotes positive change strategies and individual growth. | • | Assists in the preparation of department budgets and development of performance standards. | • | Performs technologist procedures as required in accordance with code of ethics and practice standards. | • | Assists manger in developing and maintaining supply resource utilization and expense, within established budget parameters. Prepares a variety of work orders for necessary repairs or requisitions for new items. | • | Evaluates performance and quality outcomes and customer satisfaction. Conducts QA Survey controls assuring correction of discrepancies. Collects data and maintains all required records ensuring compliance with governmental, accreditation and safety regulations. | • | Computes patient occupancy percentages for each Unit and reviews bed status reports per protocol. |
