This position will maintain a clean, well-stocked and well-organized store. | | | | | | | | |
• | Ensures excellence and knowledge in the products being sold and strong ability to merchandise items in an effective and appealing manner. Present merchandise with enthusiasm, and assist in the selection by making recommendations to the customer. | • | Accurately answer routine questions/inquiries in a helpful and courteous manner. | • | Utilize add-on selling, cross selling, and merchandise upgrading techniques to maximize sales and Friends Membership donations. | • | Maintain shop and all displays. | • | Lead, guide, and train students and volunteers in department systems & processes. | • | Ensures all website orders are fulfilled and delivered in a timely manner. | • | Operate computerized point of sale cash register and utilize its functions regarding inventory control, returns, profitability, and cost of goods. | • | Assist the Gift Shop Supervisor with merchandizing, buying, inventory control. | • | Assist in the coordination of activities of supervisor and other employees during an absence; redirecting communication appropriately. |
