JOB SUMMARY

The Program Director, Patient Financial Modeling is responsible for the direction and leadership of the UW Health Enterprise Patient and Population Financial Modeling (EPPFM) program.  The Program Director is responsible for implementation of the program, on-going optimization, sustainment, and improvement.  Scope of the program includes UW Health, UW School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH), partners, and affiliates.

 

The Program Director is responsible for the direction and leadership of operational, financial, programmatic, and personnel activities for the EPPFM program, aligned with the strategic goals and objectives for UW Health. The Program Director will form and lead the team of subject matter, data, and analytics experts necessary for success of the program. The Program Director is accountable for maintaining consultative, trusted-advisor relationships with stakeholders.  In collaboration with stakeholders and Information Services (IS) colleagues, the Program Director will deliver and evolve actionable solutions and ensure effective measurement of results. The Program Director will build and support a culture of customer service and continuous process improvement.

 

The Program Director is accountable for driving the evolution of a modern technology and analytics platform to support the program.

 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES


Lead the development, implementation, and adoption of cost accounting, revenue modeling, population definition, and episode grouping across the UW Health enterprise to assist achievement of UW Health strategic goals.

 

Develop and lead organizational change management programs across the enterprise to provide awareness, obtain input, and ensure adoption of the EPPFM program.

 

Develop and lead on-going sustainment, optimization, and continuous improvement for all elements of the EPPFM program.

 

Actively use benchmarks to high performing systems to assist leaders across the system in setting targets and goals.

 

Serve as an institution level resource and role model for financial literacy, data literacy, and data governance.

 

Lead improvement in agility within UW Health IS and across the organization

 

Lead improvement teams and projects within IS or at the organizational level.

 

Lead the culture of customer service continuous improvement across UW Health IS and the organization.

 

Consistently demonstrate a high level of personal accountability and lead by example in following policies and procedures.

 

Actively mentor and teach other colleagues by contributing experience and insight to the team and to UW Health.

 

Lead improvement in the information security culture and practices, including regulatory awareness, privacy, and security.

 

Lead and/or serve appropriate internal and external committees to represent UW Health IS and Enterprise Analytics.

 

Contribute to a learning environment by providing educational and research experiences to students, residents, fellows, and faculty.

 

Continuously develop knowledge and understanding of the overall landscape of analytics, emerging trends and technologies, and application of analytics in the business domain(s).

 

Ensure continuous curation and optimization of the analytics asset repository, including reduction of technical debt and retirement of out-of-date assets, exploring new analytics technologies, etc. to achieve efficiency and increase value delivered.
