JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Wisconsin Collaborative for Healthcare Quality (WCHQ) Director of Performance Measurement and Analytics, the Data Analyst will provide support to organization-wide projects and initiatives that relate to healthcare performance measurement and analytics, quality improvement, health systems research and other shared initiatives that support improved health, improved care experience and/or reduced cost.  Support may include analyzing data, preparing data for presentations and WCHQ member use, project research, preparing meeting materials, preparing workgroup communications, and tracking project action items.  The position will work closely with WCHQ leadership and staff, WCHQ member health system representatives, and WCHQ stakeholders and partners.  The Data Analyst is a member of the WCHQ measurement team and will be expected to contribute as a productive team member, committed to the department values of: excellence, innovation, compassion, integrity, respect, accountability, collaboration and shared learning.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES


Ensure successful delivery to support strategic planning and initiatives, improve organizational performance, and advance progress towards WCHQs goals.

 

Leverage knowledge and skill with a variety of query tools (e.g. SQL, R, Python), analytic techniques and platforms, to analyze large quantities of data, from multiple sources, to design, create, and maintain, dashboards, forecasts, projections and presentations, models, algorithms, and statistical and financial analyses.

 

Responsible for development and dissemination of analyses, assisting users of information at all levels with expert interpretive assistance.

 

Use knowledge of healthcare industry, market environment, and clinical and business workflows and activities, to inform solution design and development.

 

Develop and maintain trusted advisor relationships with member organizations that include guidance for optimizing use of analytic capabilities and deliverables.

 

Perform external research to help inform the analytic approach of the measurement team.

 

Use business intelligence tools to visualize and summarize data for a variety of audiences.

 

Participate in quality assurance reviews as needed.

 

Collaborate with colleagues to drive continuous improvement within the Measurement team.
