JOB SUMMARY

Manager, WorkForward is responsible for the implementation of program offerings, partnerships and resource deployment.  This role establishes and maintains partnership with employers, government agencies and educational institutions to create and/or enhance workforce development models and access to career pathways.  This role establishes and maintains philanthropic funding partnerships which includes grant writing and stewardship support.  Leveraging strong business acumen, this role is responsible for operational excellence and people leadership.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES


Develops and maintains networks with a broad variety of potential clients (i.e. healthcare, education) and philanthropic funders.

 

Implements the strategic direction for WorkForward, including identifying key areas of engagement, clients, donors and grant opportunities to grow the business and the brand.

 

Develops white papers, peer-reviewed publications and presentations.

 

Participates in and promotes discussions, engagements, and partnerships that inform and guide workforce policy at state, national and global levels.

 

Develops standard work associated with building and providing business solutions for clients, such as program implementation, landscape analysis, curriculum packages, and other products.

 

Provides conference presentations and other participates in other public speaking opportunities to promote WorkForward.

 

Oversee contracts with cross functional teams by driving all phases of implementation including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and transition/project closeout.

 


As needed, additional responsibilities reasonably within the scope of duties and physical requirements may be assigned.  ALL DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS MUST BE PERFORMED CONSISTENT WITH THE UW HEALTH PERFORMANCE STANDARDS AND RESPECT FOR PEOPLE COMMITTMENTS.

Even though the weight lifted may be very little, a job is in this category when it requires a good deal of walking or standing, or when it involves sitting most of the time with some pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls. To be considered capable of performing a full or wide range of light work, you must have the ability to do substantially all of these activities. If someone can do light work, we determine that they can also do sedentary work, unless there are additional limiting factors such as loss of fine dexterity or inability to sit for long periods of time.
