Works closely with Employee Health Manager to develop, interpret, and communicate departmental goals and objectives which support the Health System's overall strategic initiatives. Assists with establishing and/or revising Employee Health policies, procedures, and protocols as necessary. Oversees the documentation of all employee health information, tests, and other pertinent information in the appropriate record, chart, or documents while maintaining confidentiality of position acquired information and ensures documentation is consistent with and meets Joint Commission standards. As needed, provides clinical care. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental and divisional nursing philosophy and objectives, as well as Health System initiatives. Assists in the coordination of a system wide Health Program for employees that supports the goals of Occupational Health, prevents injury and illness and promotes wellness. Under the direction of the Employee Health manager and Medical Director, establishes, implements and maintains protocols for the care and treatment of ill or injured employees. Monitors and evaluates operational, financial and clinical outcomes and customer satisfaction making appropriate structural changes and communicating problems and/or progress to manager. | | | | | | | | |
• | Assists in developing department goals and objectives that promote prompt intervention, early diagnosis and treatment to prevent or control disability limitations. Assists with establishing and/or revising Employee Health policies, procedures, and protocols as necessary. | • | Supervises clinical and clerical Employee Health staff. Recruit, train and motivate staff, including but not limited to: conducting employee orientation, completing annual performance appraisals, applying UW Health Way standards to daily operations and improving and enhancing team performance. Counsel and discipline as needed. Orients and coordinates staff schedules ensuring adequate coverage, staff competency and compliance with all human resources and Health System policies. | • | Oversees the documentation of all employee health information, tests, and other pertinent information in the appropriate record, chart, or documents while maintaining confidentiality of position acquired information and ensures documentation is consistent with and meets Joint Commission standards. Collects, compiles and maintains a variety of charts, reports, screenings, logs and other information in accordance with established department protocols. | • | Assists with investigations pursuant to work-related injuries, accidents, and exposures and other identified health hazards. | • | Participates in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental and divisional nursing philosophy and objectives, as well as Health System initiatives. | • | Monitors and evaluates operational, financial and clinical outcomes and customer satisfaction making appropriate structural changes and communicating problems and/or progress to manager. |
