• | Prepares patients for examination, treatment and procedures. Performs selected patient care duties which may include recording patient histories, vital signs, EKG’s, Holter Monitor. Assists with stress tests and flexible sigmoidoscopies utilizing proper technique under the supervision of a Physician and Unit Supervisor/Operations Manager. Under the authority and delegation of a physician may perform certain other tasks or duties. | • | Replenishes and prepares exam and treatment rooms with medical supplies, instruments, equipment and pharmacological items, maintaining neat, clean and appropriately stocked environment. | • | Cleans and disinfects all exam rooms, instruments and procedure trays operating sterilization equipment and following established department guidelines. | • | Complies and consolidates a variety of technical and statistical data for reports and records. | • | Assists with scheduling of patient tests and related clerical/receptionist support functions including ordering of clinical and office supplies and equipment as assigned. | • | Provides the RN and/or Physician with accurate and timely information regarding patient needs and status and documents information in appropriate records maintaining confidentiality at all times. | • | Performs all aspects of care in an environment that optimizes patient and environmental safety and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and compliance efforts. |
